Craig Souza

Craig is the founder and CEO of Business Awakens, Inc., a company dedicated to the proposition that “Business and Capitalism are agents for the creation of Heaven on Earth.” He will be the first to admit that he could have picked something easier but loves a challenge.

One way we get there is to embrace a “bottom up, top down” approach, to create heart-centered, creative, and ethical corporate cultures where innovation flows through empowered, engaged people who bring their full selves to work each day.

Known for being creative, funny (thanks, Mom!), and calm under pressure, Craig brings an eclectic set of skills and experiences to his work. He has over 30 years of sales experience (the last fifteen focused on services for Enterprise customers at HP), a BA in Theatre, a longtime meditation practice, a passion for DEIB work, and a deep love of the natural world.

Craig is especially passionate about working with diverse leaders, especially LGBTQ+ folks, believing that Queer people have a critical role to play as healers, cultural translators, and challengers of “normal”. He is a Certified Teacher™ for SIY Global, offering the SIY and Adaptive Resilience programs as well as SIY Keynotes. He also facilitates small peer groups and provides individual coaching.
