Biography
Chris Borland is a teacher with Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, a former professional American football player with the San Francisco 49ers, and a History Fellow at his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin.
After a brief stint in professional athletics, Chris turned his attention to brain injury advocacy. Borland's advocacy inspired him to work in mental health at The Carter Center in 2016. In 2017, he teamed up with The Center for Healthy Minds to lead a first-of-it's kind mindfulness pilot program with retired NFL athletes. Since then, Chris has been teaching mindfulness and introducing Search Inside Yourself programs to current and former athletes, military veterans, professionals in the tech industry, educators, and non-profits.
Borland has a passion for introducing content that relieves stress and improves performance for high achievers in demanding professions. He specializes in introducing programs to novel populations.
Chris has been featured on CBS This Morning, Face the Nation, ESPN the magazine, and more. He lives in Madison, Wisconsin.
