Cheeyon Cha

Cheeyon is a student affairs professional at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), assisting students in their journey of finding their educational goals and purpose by offering group/individual advising. Trained as a counseling psychologist and art therapist, she provides various levels of support and programs, including crisis and care management. She is also a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor and has been offering MHFA training to students/faculty/staff since 2013. Before joining SAIC, she worked at LG Electronics, Seoul, Korea in the Oversees Marketing team and was responsible for the marketing strategies of many IT products in multiple countries.

Cheeyon received her MAAT from SAIC in Art Therapy and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Illinois. She also has an MA in School and Counseling Psychology and a BA in Nursing, both from Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea.
