Emotional Intelligence

Workplace studies prove that emotional competencies enhance performance, leadership effectiveness, and wellbeing.

Attention is the fundamental energy of the mind. How we direct our attention determines the mental habits we form, the emotions we develop, and the results we experience.

Research shows that mindfulness is a foundational skill that underpins the inner factors of growth: self-awareness, self-management, and emotional skills.

I work with executives, management professionals and teams to transform their mindset. Compassionate, confident, mindful leadership is possible – let me show you how. Drawing on years of experience in corporate and consulting roles, I have a deep understanding of the evolving landscape of leadership. My coaching and workshops are designed to spark transformation and drive real behavioural changes. I guide people towards an understanding of leadership that is rooted in values and mindful behaviour. Whether working with startups or large-scale enterprises, I develop compassionate leadership skills within Austria and beyond.

Bernd Oswald

Bernd incorporates mindfulness into his personal life, his business life and especially as a leader. Throughout his career as consultant and C-level executive, being a true and inspirational leader instead of just being a “task manager” has always been his primary ambition. He believes that in order to lead others, one first needs to learn to lead oneself. As an educated engineer, lawyer and finance expert, Bernd has started his career in consulting with a focus on managing large scale change projects throughout the world. In this role he became sparring partner of line management and a resource for finding innovative solutions. For the last 10 years, Bernd has led and developed organizations as COO or CEO, mainly in renewable materials and sustainable construction. In his latest activities he supports disruptive startups in their aim to succeed – mindfulness there being a core asset in the super volatile and ambiguous environment. Bernd teaches mindfulness with a strong focus on applicability in real life situations. His own leadership experiences are a valuable asset, combined with the proven method of the SIY Leadership Institute. His multiyear assignments to projects (for example in Germany, Russia, Slovakia, Poland and Israel) and his experience living abroad (in Finland, Australia and the USA) enables Bernd to adjust to varying cultural settings. He lives in Vienna and works and teaches in English and German.

This is the best course I have EVER attended. Never before I have been able to sit for two whole days and be fully engrossed in every second. I will tell people that if they are wanting to transform their lives then they MUST attend this course.

SIY changed the way I deal with challenges. I actually remain calm in stressful situations, and colleagues look to me to find workable solutions to problems.

I like how SIY makes mindfulness practices very accessible to people. There's a very strong hesitation, unwillingness, fear that comes up when you think about sitting down and trying some of these tools. The experience you get in the workshop dissipates that so you are able to take it with you. What these tools really do is increase self-awareness. When you become more self-aware you become more tolerant and more compassionate, and it leads to better relationships with family, friends, and in the workplace.

Inspiring. Cutting edge. What the new world of leadership look like.
