Brandon currently works with Thornburg Investment Management, an asset management firm based in Santa Fe, NM. Prior to returning to the southwest, where he was born, Brandon lived in Washington D.C. and worked in international development with the World Bank Group and DAI, a U.S. based consulting firm that works on the frontlines of development in poor and transitioning countries. Before arriving to D.C., Brandon served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Kyrgyz Republic. While living in D.C., Brandon found himself looking for something more in life that at first was hard to put words to but later was recognized as a spiritual search. He turned to meditation and yoga in hope of finding tools to help him find his way. Brandon first received formal meditation instruction at a S.N. Goenka center in 2011. Since then he has completed numerous 8-10 day silent meditation retreats at Insight Meditation Society (IMS), Insight Meditation Community of Washington (IMCW), a 100-day residence training at a Zen monastery and a 60-day silent meditation retreat in Myanmar under the guidance of Sayadaw U Pandita. In the yogic tradition, Brandon completed a 200-hr, 500-hr and 800-hr teacher training with Sri Dharma Mittra. After this chapter of concentrated practice, Brandon now seeks to integrate the tools of mindfulness, compassion, and resilience in his daily life as a husband and a father, a professional and a friend.
