In my last company I was with for about 6 years, I had hit multiple points of burning out that built up on each other. I was at a point in life of being mentally and emotionally spent and asking myself how can I change? I heard of mindfulness, and attending the SIY 2-day program in 2015. I walked away with what I thought were such accessible and practical tools for self care, compassion, and relationship building. Over time, these practices helped shift my attitude toward work and life and led me to do go through Teacher Certification. Today, I am exploring how practical mindfulness-based practices can be integrated in the world of Organizational Development. My mission is to eliminate neglect within the workplace and enable the workplace to be a place of developing the good in people so that can be of service to others (i.e. employees, customers, communities, society)
