Ana's 20+ years of management experience afford her an insider perspective into the unique challenges faced by 21st century management teams. In today’s over-connected world – where burnout is high and many suffer from digital fatigue – Ana offers key insights into how emotional intelligence can transform individuals and organizations. Her 12 years of teaching experience in higher education and private organizations, coupled with her doctoral research in Positive Organizational Scholarship, including emotional intelligence, resilience, engagement, diversity, mindfulness and compassionate leadership, enable her to offer unique and impactful trainings. She brings wisdom to organizations as a certified Search Inside Yourself (SIY) instructor. Developed by Google and piloted with its engineers, the SIY curriculum teaches mindfulness and emotional intelligence to enhance leadership skills. Ana teaches SIY and customized mindfulness and emotional intelligence programs to leading companies in the aviation, aerospace, and healthcare industries, as well as the Claremont Colleges in Los Angeles. She is scheduled to complete her Ed.D. in Organizational Change and Leadership at USC in May, 2022 where her research has included Emotional Intelligence, Compassionate Leadership, Resilience, Mindfulness and Diversity. She is part of the Community of Scholars at the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business - Center for Positive Organizations. She is also a Certified Mindfulness Teacher- Professional Level credentialed by the International Mindfulness Teachers Association (IMTA), a Certified Mindfulness Facilitator from UCLA’s Semel Institute of Neuroscience and is qualified to teach the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course by the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Center for Mindfulness.
