Brandon Rennels

Brandon Rennels

Brandon is the Teacher Development
Manager at SIYLI, where he supports the
organization in cultivating world-class
mindfulness teachers.

Brandon has taught the SIY program to a wide variety
of audiences, ranging from large investment firms in
Asia, to manufacturing and technology companies in
the United States, to the general public in Iceland. He
is nourished by empowering leaders to align with
their intention to show up fully at work and in their life.

Prior to SIYLI he was a Senior Consultant for Oliver
Wyman, a management consulting firm. He worked
across industries on a range of strategic initiatives,
focusing primarily on capability building and
facilitating change within organizations. In this role he
consulted for public and private enterprises around
the globe, including two years based in Dubai.

Brandon has also spent years training in mindfulness
at monasteries of Nobel Peace Prize Nominee and
Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. He is an ordained
member of the Order of Interbeing, the core
community of Thich Nhat Hanh.

Brandon graduated with highest honors from the
Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
He is an avid table tennis player who is always up for a
good match.

Elli Weisbaum

Elli Weisbaum

She has worked internationally facilitating mindfulness workshops and retreats within the sectors of education, healthcare and business.This has included work in Canada, Bhutan, India, Germany, France, the UK and USA.  

She is an instructor for the Applied Mindfulness and Meditation Certificate Program at the University of Toronto in the Continuing Education Faculty. She holds a masters degree focused on bringing mindfulness into education, and is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Toronto in the Faculty of Medicine, with a focus on integrating mindfulness into healthcare settings. 

She spent a year as the international program coordinator for Wake Up Schools, a global initiative to cultivate mindfulness in education, established by Nobel Peace Prize nominee, scholar and Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. Elli’s novel background in both academic research and mindfulness practice provides a distinct approach to her ongoing work teaching and researching in the field of mindfulness. 

She is honoured to be a grant-making advisor for the Pollination Project, a foundation that gives seed grants to individual changemakers all over the world. Elli is dedicated to the cultivation of a compassionate and healthy society, and through her work she hopes to continue walking a path that leads there. 

Here are some frequently asked questions we receive

Rotman Cancellation & Deferral Policies:

1. Cancellation Policy 

Cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellations made greater than 45 days of the program start date receive 100% refund minus an administrative charge as follows:

  • $500 charge for programs over $1000, or
  • $150 charge for programs $1000 or less

Participants who need to cancel and have previously deferred will lose 100% of program fee paid.

Cancellations made within 45 days of the program start are subject to the penalties listed in Section 3.

2. Deferral Policy

Participants needing to defer their enrollment to a Rotman Executive Program can do so only if:

  1. A request is submitted in writing
  2. There is no previous deferral
  3. The deferral is within two (2) years of the date of the original invoice
  4. The program fee has been paid in full.

A participant can be substituted on the same program session without incurring any penalties, provided the substitute meets the program criteria and is accepted. Participants may also defer to a different program and is subject to availability, and participants will assume price differences of the program fee. No refunds given to programs with lesser cost.

Deferrals made within 45 days of the program start are subject to the penalties listed in Section 3.

3. Cancellation & Deferral Penalties

Due to program demand and pre-program preparation:

  • All cancellations made between 16-45 calendar days of the program start date are subject to a penalty of 50% of the program fee
  • All cancellations made within 15 calendar days of the program start date are subject to a penalty of 100% of the program fee
  • All deferrals made within 45 days of the program start date are subject to an administrative charge as follows:
    • $500 charge for programs over $1000, or
    • $150 charge for programs $1000 or less 
  • All participants must follow our deferral policy as outlined in Section 2.
