Brandon Rennels

Brandon Rennels

A management consultant by trade, Brandon worked for large corporations in Dubai before transitioning to spend a few years residing at monasteries of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. SIYLI was a natural bridge of his business experience and mindfulness practice, so after enrolling in SIYLI’s Expand teacher training he decided to join full-time. Brandon finds himself traveling frequently; particularly memorable adventures include Japan, the Maldives, and Swaziland.

Elli Weisbaum

Elli Weisbaum

Elli Weisbaum has worked internationally facilitating mindfulness trainings within the sectors of education, healthcare and business. She is an instructor at the University of Toronto in the Applied Mindfulness and Meditation Certificate Program. She holds a masters degree focused on bringing mindfulness into education. She is pursuing a PhD at the University of Toronto in the Faculty of Medicine, focused on integrating mindfulness into healthcare. She spent a year as the international program coordinator for Wake Up Schools, a global initiative to cultivate mindfulness in education, established by Nobel Peace Prize nominee Thich Nhat Hanh. Elli’s novel background in academic research and mindfulness practice provides a unique perspective to her teaching and research in the field of mindfulness.
