Marketing Coordinator

The Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (SIYLI), an independent 501c3 non-profit organization based in San Francisco, is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our team. 

We are looking for an experienced marketer to help us increase awareness about the value of mindfulness-based emotional intelligence in life and at work, and expand our programs’ reach and impact. The Marketing Coordinator will help us grow our brand presence around the world through multiple marketing channels and initiatives. This position will help with the implementation of our 2020 marketing strategy, working directly with our Marketing Director. The Marketing Coordinator position is a virtual contractor role, so you’re welcome to work from any location.

Details:

  • Start date: Q1, 2020 
  • Duration: ongoing 
  • Time investment: 3 days per week, with an opportunity to extend or convert in the future, based on performance and interest 
  • Compensation: $35 per hour

Responsibilities: 

  • Grow SIYLI’s presence and audience engagement across social media platforms. Lead content ideation, implementation, reporting and budget management processes. 
  • Create and distribute engaging written or audiovisual content to increase awareness and engagement with key audience segments. 
  • Lead the implementation of content marketing initiatives that bring our brand to life, grow awareness and support conversions, including: newsletters, webinars, blogs, case studies and sales collateral. 
  • Assist with the implementation of lead generation campaigns.
  • Manage and moderate comments and user-generated content across SIYLI’s external communities.
  • Measure the effectiveness of marketing projects and report on performance. 
  • Identify gaps and recommend solutions that improve results of current marketing programs.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Communications, English, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations.
  • 3+ years of marketing, social media, public relations or communications experience.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (English).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead marketing communication projects including digital and media strategies (social media, Google Ads, SEO, etc.).
  • Editorial, content marketing, thought leadership experience preferred.
  • Highly collaborative and adaptable working style, given the dynamic startup environment of our organization.
  • Results-oriented and able to deliver projects on time and within allocated budget. 
  • A people-person that truly enjoys creating connection with the SIYLI community.
  • Deep interest in mindfulness, emotional intelligence and commitment to SIYLI’s mission.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and agency partners.
  • Ability to identify new marketing opportunities and work independently to implement them.
  • Quantitative strength in analyzing data and synthesizing learning into insights and action.
